Young Suk Lee is a multimedia artist and researcher. She obtained a bachelor and master degree in Fine Arts at Hong-ik University, Seoul, South Korea. She further studied Digital Art (interactive installations and video art ) and obtained a second MFA and a M.S degree at Human Computer Interaction Design at Indiana University, Bloomington.
She developed a unique hybrid practice combining traditional craft, digital fabrication and experimental interaction. Her work seeks to explore technology’s capacity to affect people’s idea in a creative manner through critical design which results in a unique collection of interactive and experimental wearables and shape-changing kinetic sculptures.
