Ashley is an Associate Professor at the University of Delaware. His background is in graphic design and semiotics, (MFA RISD 2006), yet for the last decade he has sought a deeper understanding of human creativity and employs technology to do so. His work manifests through both collaborative and heuristic discovery, and ranges from the creation of assistive devices for people with disabilities to more experimental, electro-mechanical objects and experiences. He operates his studio, Design is good for you, as a philanthropic creative research laboratory and lectures widely about his pedagogy and other creative pursuits.
