Megan Young

Megan Young considers bodies and code through sculpture, installation, and interactive mediums. Her activist art has been featured in Hyperallergic, The Atlantic, and on NPR. Notable credits include ISEA in Hong Kong, Ammerman Center for Arts & Technology, Open Engagement, Art Souterrain, Chicago Cultural Center, MCA Chicago, Ohio University Gallery, SPACES, Transformer Station, and CAC Cincinnati. Recent awards include two Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence grants, a Creative Workforce Fellowship, and supported residencies through City of Chicago, Prairie Center of the Arts, CounterPulse, and Connecticut College. She has presented workshops and courses through Baldwin Wallace University, University of Akron, Kent State University, Ohio University, and University of Illinois in Chicago. Young holds a BFA in dance from Ohio University and an MFA in interdisciplinary arts and media from Columbia College Chicago.
